Battery section shows a simple visualization on battery consumption rate for participants' devices throughout the study. This plot does not utilize all data available in battery stream. You can read the list of all data elements available in Battery Stream section. Rather, this scatter plot shows how fast each participant's battery discharges on average.
The following scatter plot shows the battery consumption rate for all participants in a sample study.
The X axis shows the time interval in hours, and Y axis is the % of the battery used. Each data point represents a single interval which the device was running on battery, i.e. starting from the time user has unplugged the device from USB/wall charger to the time user has plugged the device again. The data point shows how long this interval lasted and how much battery was used during this period. The selected point in the scatter plot above for User #1 shows the participant has used 93% of his battery over 29.37 hours.
Points closer to the upper right corner of the graph indicate the user has used more battery capacity over longer period (e.g. battery was discharged 93% during 29.37 hours), while points towards the lower left corner of the graph indicate more frequent charging by user (e.g. battery was discharged 10% during 1 hour period.)
Each scatter plot also includes the regression line on the data points. The regression lines with higher slope indicate that the participant had to charge their device more often, and the battery life was shorter.
