By default, Ethica uploads the collected data as soon as possible. It first tries Wi-Fi, if not possible, it switches to mobile network for data uploads. The size of all data uploaded by Ethica is on average 500 MB per month, which depending on how often you are connected to Wi-Fi, you can guess how much extra data transfer might be applied to your mobile network, which potentially can increase your cell phone bill.
If you are concerned with data transfer through mobile network, you can instruct Ethica to upload data only when you are connected to Wi-Fi, as explained here:
- Open Ethica app on your device, and go to Settings by pressing the gear icon on the top right corner.
- If you want the data upload to happen only when you are connected to Wi-Fi, check "Upload via Wi-Fi only" is checked:
